At the moment there is a period of amnesty allowing owners to get their properties legalized and paying fines at the lower amount.

However this period has already been extended several times because of the vast amount of properties having to be checked.

To put it simply the plans that were lodged in the building dept when the permit was issued MUST match the property as it stands TODAY.If there are changes or differences then they will attract a fine.
